FRENCH KISSMAS is another installment of the Students Across the Seven Seas series.
Nicole Larson is going to spend the holiday season in Paris. The previous year she studied in Paris and enjoyed her time there immensely. She had a great host family. She made a wonderful friend. And she had romantic chemistry with Luc. But knowing she wasn't staying in Paris permanently, she made Luc know that they could only ever be friends. They lived too far apart.
Nicole and her friend, Annike, are among a handful of past S.A.S.S. students who have come to Paris to assist in filming a promotional video for the program. They meet some new people, including Mike, who is also from America. The filming keeps them all busy, but they still manage to see some nightlife.
Luc wants to be more than friends, but Nicole is constantly keeping him at a distance. On the other hand, Mike is trying to worm his way into Nicole's heart. Nicole explains to both suitors that she just wants to be friends. Her head is being rationale that she just needs friends, but her heart is trying to tell her something else...about Luc.
This is a sweet, romantic read. Set in a sparkling city during a festive time of the year, readers will fall in love with Paris. They'll also enjoy the misadventures that befall Nicole as she tries to convince herself that she can remain just friends with both of the cute boys.

Quick romantic read for teens

After studying in Paris the previous year, high-school grad Nicole is taking the next year off. She returns to Paris for the winter holidays to be part of a promotional video for the student exchange program in which she participated. Excited to return to the City of Light, she is reunited with old friends and an old flame. A new potential romantic interest is introduced and Nic can't seem to make her mind up between the two suitors. The plot is predictable. Given the title and the cover illustration, I was surprised (but not annoyed) at the lack of writing about Christmas itself. There is mention of celebrations which take place in other countries when Nic and her roommate host exchange students also in Paris to be in the video.

Holiday sequel

Nicole's been traveling in Europe after graduating high school because of her S.A.S.S. experience. She's more than happy to go back to Paris and film a promotional video for the studying abroad.
Nicole meets up with her best friend from the program Annik. They're rooming together and can't wait to catch up. Nicole also wants to catch up with Parisian friend Luc.
Last time she was in Paris, she had a boyfriend. But this time, she's single and free to be romantic with Luc, if she chooses. Since she's only there for 2 weeks, she wants everything to be perfect. When she meets another S.A.S.S. student, Mike, she soon realizes that she might have competition for her heart.
My Thoughts: A fabulous holiday tale with romance, friendship, and fun. I really enjoyed the friendship dynamic of the book and the catching up of old friends (from Pardon my French). I sometimes wonder what happens next and this is a perfect example.
